Today I cleaned up my PC and wanted to delete unnecessary OS files. After reading the deployment guide for Windows 7 / 2008R2 I figured out the following command, which will delete those files permanent. You have to launch an administrative command line: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded Cheers, Chris
